Artist Michael Macone renders dragonflies in bold, almost pictograph style outlines across all four panels of the shade, surrounded by sweeping organic lines that give the whole composition a sense of movement and life. The base is extruded clay handcrafted in Shell Lake, Wisconsin with melted glass fused over the surface in streaks of blue, teal, and gold that drip and pool in ways you cannot plan or replicate. Every handmade table lamp base comes out differently, which is part of what makes each one worth owning. The whole piece rests on a distressed wood stand with a glass finial at the top to finish it off.

Michael Macone's artwork is printed on heavy archival art paper and UV coated to keep the colors strong over time. The dragonfly design wraps continuously around all four panels so the composition never feels cropped or incomplete.
