Over 40 Years of Spooner Creek
Michael Macone began working with clay in high school, studied at the Layton School of Art in Milwaukee, and opened his first pottery in a one-stall garage in Minneapolis. After years of selling at art fairs across the country, he developed the engraving technique that became Spooner Creek. Today, Michael creates alongside his sons, daughters, and son-in-law at the family studio in Northern Wisconsin, and many of the shops that first carried Spooner Creek decades ago are still carrying it today.
