The base is made from extruded clay with melted glass fused over the surface, crafted by hand in Shell Lake, Wisconsin in a process that gives each piece its own character. It rests on a distressed wood stand that grounds the whole lamp, and a glass finial sits at the very top to finish it off. Because every base is handmade, natural variations from one unique table lamp to the next are part of what makes this a genuine work of art rather than something pulled off a shelf.

The shade is printed from Michael Macone's original artwork on heavy archival art paper and UV coated to resist fading over time.
